OSU College of Arts and Sciences Department of Astronomy

Astronomy Graduate Student Alumni

Doctor of Philosophy Degree Recipients

This is a list of all Ph.D.'s awarded by the OSU Astronomy Department. Those graduate alumni who received a terminal M.S. degrees or a thesis M.S. degree are listed separately. The first Ph.D. was awarded in 1955, prior to that OSU only had a Master's program. For each Ph.D. recipient, we list the dissertation title, their advisor, and their current (or last) professional position (where known to us). Starting with 1997 graduates, we also list the first post-graduate position they held (where none is listed, their current position is their first post-grad position).

Starting in 2002, Dissertations were submitted in PDF format. Approved copies of all Dissertations starting in 2002 are linked below after the title.
