YALO Nightly Observing Report for 1999 Aug 1 Observer: Juan Espinoza Observed all night from 2230 to 1000 UTC. Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Program completed to it's fullest. Aql's magnitude in R band = 1.9 No problems with instrument or software of any kind. However, I have been experiencing problems with domeflat taking due to - to my belief - an inappropriate borrowed Variac wich may have caused some damage to the whole lighting system being that it may be too powerful. But we are able to take flats in both, optical and IR, the thing is that for CCD images we have to increase the exposure time by 50%, and on IR, increase the voltage. I hope this is OK. That is all. Cheers. ------------------------------ Submitted by Juan Espinoza on 1999 Aug 2 [6:49:33]
