YALO Nightly Observing Report for 1999 Aug 15 Observer: Juan Espinoza Observed last half of the night from 0400 to 0930 UTC. Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the summary for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing >3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds High Mid: Seeing 2.6 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds High End: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Main reason for late star was strong winds and really bad seeing wich made for bad images just not worth doing. - At around the middle of the night these conditions calmed down enough to observe. As you may imagine - I accommodated the program in the best way possible. Aql's differential magnitude in R band: ~2.1 VERY IMPORTANT - IR flats (mostly dark ones) have a strange pattern that I can not described too well. (I will do my best in the trouble report). (see trouble report) 47Tuc was observed in U-band because the seeing was bordeline 2.0 ------------------------------ Submitted by Juan Espinoza on 1999 Aug 16 [5:21:58]
