YALO Nightly Observing Report for 1999 Nov 18 Observer: Juan Espinoza Observed all night from 0000 to 0845 UTC. Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the summary for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The skies were verry clear from beginning to end but we did have clouds at the beginning of the night in the far distance ( to the East, above the mountains) and they they moved away wich is why I considered this to be a photometric night. Program completed except for 2mass2223 because of technical reasons (OHIO ftp area is out again) so I wasted some time trying to figure out what to do, in the end I ended up calling Rene M. and he told me that it was Ok not to do it. Other than that we had great seeing for the entire night and I didn't die doing it (almost though). Dear queue managers, as most of you must have gotten my email regarding Nick S. SN1999ek I've come to realize that it was not observed in Nov 2 as they believe and as I mentioned in my note, it is verrry important to them that monitoring begins as soon as possible. As far Rene Mendes' targets goes, he mentioned to me that it would be ok if only one (or maybe two) could be observed according to his proposal. We had one computer crash during calibratrions but none during the night wich is great! cheers. ------------------------------ Submitted by Juan Espinoza on 1999 Nov 19 [3:41:12]
