YALO Telescope Observer's Report for 2000 Mar 22

Observed all night from 2350 to 1005 UTC.
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the summary for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm

FIRST: Very important.  Yesterday, after the second crash, the IR-tilts
got stuck as they do sometimes and it stayed this way for the rest of the
night and I did not notice this until this afternoon.  So images from
ir000321.0103.fits thru the rest of the night have a slight starting TILT error.

and now for tonight's buzz....

Portugal's program completed with no complications.  the rest of the program 
was modified somewhat; LBQS1429-008 and 2m1507-1627 were not observed,
main reason beeing that it was too close to Moon and really tough to find
a guiding star.  The rest observed accordingly even though we had a total
of three crashes today.  

Yesterday,I forgot to mention that we have received two hundred more
tapes in addition to the one hundred David received last week, so we are
all set for the next few months...

Rui: I don't know to what lenghts you have to go to send us the nightly
program early, but, thanks!
