YALO Telescope Observer's Report for 2000 Nov 29 Observer: Juan Espinoza Observed all night from 00:10 to 08:30 UTC. Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the summary for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Program mostly completed - Tonight I experienced several problems. I order to reach the first target of the program (Aql X-1) I had to override the TCS's limit switches wich caused (and I'm ashamed to explain how this happened) to lose the telescope's zero poiting wich meant that I had to shutdown the TCS, thus loosing the Link with WC wich I did not reset and did not find this out until the middle of the night. Magnitude for Aql was not obtained for I was not able to see the object. It was, however, trimed. Portugal target J0241-0815 was partially observed because I had the same problems as last night. - The only, very dim guide star, fades and moves away and for some strange reason I can not bring it back on the guider TV. No matter how much I fool around with the dials and so on. I did however, save two frames on CCD. Dr Suntzeff's SN200ew was observed after Nova Musca, given the extra time that I had tonight. It could not be observed otherwise. That is all cheers ------------------------------ Submitted by Juan Espinoza on 2000 Nov 30 [4:12:39]
