YALO Telescope Observer's Report for 2000 Oct 14 Observer: Kathy Vivas Observed all night from 23:45 to 9:30 UTC. Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 23:00 until 04:00. Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm, Haze, then clear End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: The night began with patchy clouds over all sky, specially to the East. It was basically clear after midnight. In the last three days, there has been a moderate wind coming from the north in the last part of the night. Unfortunately, all objects in the program at that hour are in the north. The problem is that the guiding is difficult to do because the stars move a lot in the TV screen. Tonight the guiding wasn't good for 2mass0559 and RR8398C (images have some elongation in the N-S direction). Otherwise, all program was done. There was one crash in the middle of the observation of Q2138-431. I interrupted the script and took the remaining exposures after the recovery.
