YALO Telescope Observer's Report for 2000 Sep 26 Observer: Jose Afonso Observed all night from 23h50 to 09h45 UTC. Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the summary for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Observing program mostly completed. A software crash towards the end of the night took a few minutes to solve, and resulted in the lost of a fairly big image (more details below): -Objects Q0117-0135 and Q0118-0052 were not observed due to the non-existence of a guide star (as I understand it, this is quite important for these objects); -Object NGC1614 was not observed due to a momentary problem in connecting to the Ohio ftp account to get the obs file. I moved on to the next object planning to get the file in the meantime (which I did) and return to that object, but a software crash on WC prevented me of having time to return to NGC1614 before the end of the night; -Object sdss0539 was only partially observed (so, depending on the scientific purpose, it will probably be as good as non-observed). At the end of the first 590 seconds of integration the WC crashed. The fix was ------------------------------ Submitted by Jose Afonso on 2000 Sep 27 [8:04:25]
