YALO Telescope Observer's Report for 2000 Sep 27 Observer: Jose Afonso Observed all night from to UTC. Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the summary for details. Seeing and Weather: High Winds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds High, wind gusts Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, gusts End: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds High, gusts Observing Summary: Observing program mostly done. The night, although clear, had some strong winds which forced the use of the wind screen (and associated time delays). Due to this, the image quality was not has high as on previous nights. Objects not observed: - Object OB2K031 was not observed bacause it had already set when attempted; - Object NGC34 was not observed because it had an airmass above 2 when attempted; - Objects NGC838, NGC1204, IR03450+0055, NGC1614, NGC1667, sdss0539 and 2mass0559 were not observed due to the ending of the night. - A special mention to Object Q0135-0130, only partially observed (2 out of the 3 positions required), due to the ending of the night (I'll have to be more careful about the last objects to do, to avoid interrupting them...) Some notes on the objects observed and problems encountered: -While on the last part of object OB2k041, there was a software crash, again with the WC (details on the trouble report form). The last files that were being taken were lost (but some had already been produced) so I repeated the observation of the last file, ob2k041vh.obs. -When initiating the observation of object Ob2k048, I made a mistake and used the file ob2k046ih.obs (instead of ob2k048ih.obs). Since the observation parameters were the same I allowed the observation to be completed and then corrected the object name in the fits files headers produced (simply using the task ------------------------------ Submitted by Jose Afonso on 2000 Oct 2 [5:57:52]
