YALO Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Jul 05 Observer: David Gonzalez Observed for most of the night from 00:19 to 09:44 UTC. Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Hello, Programme partialy accomplished. Most of the obs. were done through clouds and I had to skip several targets. As Darren must have informed you, the problem of the IC had been fixed. Dr. Depoy spent several hours working on this PC and the filter wheel. And believe me, the boy did work hard... Also, we made some changes to the programme and gave some shots to the Galactic Centre as part of engineering obs. Darren, as discussed today, I kept an eye on the filter wheel and noticed that for several hours it didn't get stuck at all; for example, it failed to move once out of 30 times. However, at a certain moment I just played with it a bit and it DID fail to move as before. In sum, the problem is still present but less frequent though. Well to add some fun, I realized I was using a wrong programme, unfortunately I noticed this at about 4 am (save your harsh language for the meeting) See you David ------------------------------ Submitted by David Gonzalez on 2001 Jul 6 [5:46:18]
