YALO Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 May 07 Observer: Juan Espinoza Observed all night from 22:58 to 10:23 UTC. Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the summary for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, with some humidity Mid: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate, to overcast Observing Summary: Program not completed due to various facts such as moderate to strong winds, several crashes including workstation terminal Kepler going through and uncalled for reboot at around 07:00 UT, focus problems, bad seeing, cirrus arriving at around -8:00 UT and almost covering skies at the end of the night (it was a heck night!) Portugal target BHC013 not observed in IH bands because it was too close to an airmass of 2 plus really bad seeing. Standars PG0918 and PG1047 were observed with a dither factor of 30 instead of 20 as, as I imagine, the stand*.obs files were modified from the last time we made these objects and I used files that were created during this period (about three or so months ago). Yale magnitudes: Cen X-4 0.37 4u1543 1.44 xte1550 5.36 (this is a questionable reading for I believe the object target landed on a bad pixel) That is all from me for this week.
