Erratum
A Long-Term Study of Broad Emission-Line Profile Variability
in NGC 5548
I. Wanders and B.M. Peterson: 1996, ApJ, 466, 174
Due to a minor error in one of the computer programs used, the emission-line
fluxes tabulated in the paper are too low. All emission-line
fluxes should be multiplied by the integer number 2; the continuum fluxes
are correct. None of the conclusions is affected since the paper is
based on relative fluxes only, but the following adjustments to the tables
and figures should be made:
-
Table 1: The numbers in columns 4, 5, 7, and 9, labeled
Ltot,
Lblue,
Lcore, and
Lred, respectively, should be
multiplied by 2.
-
Table 2: The numbers in columns 6, 7, and 10, labeled
< L(t) >, \sigmal, and Phi, respectively,
should be multiplied by 2.
-
Table 5: The numbers in column 2, labeled Phi(total),
should be multiplied by 2.
-
Figure 1: The numbers along the y-axes of the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th
panel, labeled total Hbeta flux,
blue wing Hbeta flux,
core Hbeta flux, and
red wing Hbeta flux,
respectively, should be multiplied by 2.
