OSIRIS IC Last Minute Changes

IC Changes

Just before leaving Columbus, OSIRIS was given several new commands that modify the readout sequence, in order to try and control the "bright ramp" feature seen with the science grade array. These commands add a prep cycle before readout, and allow the user to change the line reset, pixel integration and post-prep cycle delay timing.

(1 sequencer clock = 300 ns)

RESETDL n
Set the number of clocks that the line reset is held high to n sequencer clocks.
RESETPAUSE n
Set the pause between line resets and preread to n * 65536 sequencer clocks (That's 20 milliseconds * n)
ERASE n
Set number of prep cycle resets and readouts to n
PREPRESETDL n
Set the number of clocks that the line reset is held high during the prep cycle resets to n sequencer clocks.
PREPRESETPAUSE n
Set the pause between prep cycle line resets and prep cycle readout to n * 65536 sequencer clocks (That's 20 milliseconds * n)
PREPGAINDL n
Set the pixel integration time during the prep cycle readout to n clocks.
All these variables are saved between sessions in the OSIRIS.INI file, and are reported in the FITS header for each image.
