About Me

Greetings! I'm an astronomy graduate student enrolled at Ohio State University. My current research is focused on quasar science using data from the Dark Energy Survey (DES) and its spectroscopic companion, the Australian Dark Energy Survey (OzDES). This includes research on quasar accretion disks, supermassive black hole growth, and galaxy evolution. As these objects are far too small to resolved with even the best of telescopes, I primarily use their variations over time as a method of probing what is happening on small physical scales. I received my undergraduate degree, a B.A. in Astrophysics with a minor in Psychology, from the University of Virginia. I'm also active in outreach, especially through the updated OSU Planetarium.
