Through a recognition program on STEM, the following annual prizes are
given (revised in 2014):
Annual Faculty Prizes for Teaching and Research, 8 in total

- 2 prize in Astronomy, Cairo
- 2 prizes in Physics, Assuit campus

Following the suggestions of the administration, the number of prizes
were reduced to 8. 4 in Physics and 4 in Astronomy and Meterology
OBJECTIVES:
Establishment of the recogntion in the first known university, through the
STEM program, aims
enhance the academic excellence through in-class teaching,
encouragement of research with students and more
intellectual interactive relation between teachers and students.
