I am not a Muslim but have many Muslim women in my laboratory (and in our department and university) and I am interested in making sure that they have  a network of people to help them navigate their scientific careers. Is there a way to form a chapter of ismws at ECU? My students and I are interested in creating a chapter here. Thank you! Krista --  Krista A. There are less Muslim women in scicence (or STEM) compared to other groups, but the number is higher than it is known. Our network not only encourages more Muslim women to science, it also brings strength knowing others. I give my full consent for the chapter at ECU. Once formed at ECU, I would like to have the link of the chapter posted at the ISMWS websites for other members to know the connection and for possible joint activities. For constitutions, by-laws, and objectives, please use the information at http://www.astronomy.ohio-state.edu/~nahar/ismws-osu.html http://www.astronomy.ohio-state.edu/~nahar/ismws.html I am copying this to Nishat Khan, President of "ISMWS at Ohio State". I visited ECU years ago to give a weekly colloquium in the Physics Department. Best wishes, - Sultana _______________________________________________________ Prof. Sultana N. We are very excited to begin navigating the information in the links that you sent. It would be great to get you back to ECU for another visit and talk! I will chat with physics to see if we can work together to sponsor a visit!! We will likely have questions as we move forward, and I will be in touch if we do-- if that is ok. Thank you!
