UNIFIED ELECTRON-ION RECOMBINATION RATES
                 _________________________________________

 The total electron-ion recombination rate coefficients are calculated 
using a theoretical formulation that takes account of the radiative 
and the dielectronic recombination (RR + DR) in a unified manner. 
The ab initio calculations employ the  
close coupling approximation using the R-matrix method for
photo-recombination and DR. Among the general references describing the 
method and the results are: Nahar and Pradhan, Phys.Rev.Letters, 68,1488 
(1992), Phys. Rev. A, 49,1816 (1994), and Astrophysical Journal, 447,966,1995.
Other references are given at the head of each table.

 The following two tables present the close coupling recombination 
rates for all ionization stages of Carbon and Nitrogen, and for Oxygen.
