On these pages, you can learn about me, my work as an astronomer and educator, and my goals for the future.  I study the stellar structure of the Milky Way Galaxy, especially in the dustiest, most obscured (and most exciting!) regions of the Galactic center and the midplane.  I also work with the SDSS-III APOGEE survey, which is targeting these very dusty regions with new strategies that will enable us to study the complex chemodynamics of the Milky Way over a large fraction of the galaxy.

Welcome to my home page!

I am an NSF Postdoc Fellow at The Ohio State University. My research interests include Galactic extinction and inner Galactic stellar structure.

Education and public outreach are also very important to me, and I have been involved in many short- and long-term EPO programs.
