Students should get a passport asap, but will need OSU to complete several steps before students can obtain visas. - Ed T&L Advising Office obtains recommendation for admission from Area of Study - Ed T&L and Graduate Admissions check IBT / IELTS Score - Ed T&L recommends admission and sends letter to student - Graduate Admissions completes financial review and recommends admission - Graduate School sends second admission letter (first one came from Dept) - Office of International Affairs (OIA) enters student data into USINS SEVIS system - OIA creates a USINS documents based on the SEVIS system - the DS-2019 - My GA - Enny Anggraini who is copied on this email - will pick up the DS 2019 from OIA and make a pdf - She will send the pdf to the students so they can schedule their interview at the US Embassy in India and she will courier the original copy - Student schedules interview - Courier delivers hard copy to student - Student MUST bring original hard copy of DS 2019 to interview at US Embassy - Within 48 hours embassy makes decision and issues visa to student which is affixed to the passport - therefore student will need to make 2 visits to the embassy - one for the interview and one for the visa. Hope that helps - Enny - obtain from Nugi the full contact info of the funded students so you can courier them the documents Adrian xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Adrian Rodgers, Ph.D. Associate Professor Executive Director, US/Indonesia Teacher Education Consortium (USINTEC) USINTEC Office: Office of International Development and Research Support Dept. of Teaching & Learning, College of Education & Human Ecology The Ohio State University 283 Arps Hall, 1945 North High Street Columbus, Ohio, USA 43210 - 1170 Email: usintec@osu.edu Web: www.usintec.org Tel: 1-614-292-9611 Fax: 1-614-292-7695 Other useful www sites: www.ehe.osu.edu www.ehe.osu.edu/edtl/ Adrian's Office: Dept. of Teaching & Learning, College of Education & Human Ecology The Ohio State University 2066 Founders Hall, 1179 University Drive Newark, Ohio 43055 Email: Rodgers.50@osu.edu Tel: 740-366-9261 Fax: 740-366-5047 Email: Rodgers.50@osu.edu xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
