Roman Agora (Athens, July 4)
The Roman Agora (market) dates from the first century AD. The most famous monument is the Tower of the Winds, built in the 2nd Century AD. Its frieze depicts the faces of the 8 winds. Like many buildings in Athens leading up to the 2004 Olympics, this one is also obscured in part by scaffolding.
