Welcome to the Astronomy 825 Home Page

Astronomy 825 is a graduate course dealing with gas dynamics in astrophysical contexts. Topics covered include shock waves, supernova remnants, ionization fronts, spherical accretion, accretion disks, stellar winds, and jets.

Note on Grading Policy:

Problem sets will be assigned on alternate Thursdays, and will be due on the following Thursday. The problem sets will count for 2/3 of your grade. The final exam will be a takehome exam and will be handed out during finals week. The final exam will count for 1/3 of your grade.
