Astronomy 825 is a graduate course dealing with
gas dynamics in astrophysical contexts. Topics covered
include shock waves, supernova remnants, ionization fronts,
spherical accretion, accretion disks, stellar winds, and jets.
Problem sets will be assigned on alternate Thursdays, and will be due on the following
Thursday. The problem sets will count for 2/3 of your grade. The final
exam will be a takehome exam and will be handed out during finals week.
The final exam will count for 1/3 of your grade.
