    AWARDS:

    Award ceremony 2014: i) Reception to Sultana, ii) Best Teaching award, iii) Best Research award, iv) Lifetime Achievement award.

    There are three annual awards in Physics:

  • TEACHER OF THE YEAR IN PHYSICS
  • DISTINGUISHED TEACHER OF THE YEAR IN PHYSICS
  • LIFELONG CONTRIBUTION IS RESEARCH (as appropriate)
  • AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP IN PHYSICS

    • The two annual teaching awards for teaching in class and research with students, and one annual scholarship for a physics undergraduate meritorious student in financial need

    - Teaching award is based on votes by students on rheir learning experience
    - Research award is based on publications
    - Student scholarship is based on merit and need
    - Award for lifelong research contribution is given only if Physics Department finds it appropriate

    OBJECTIVES:

    The objective is to enhance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathmatics) education and research program at the University. The program emphasises and promotes physics education and research.
