Welcome
I am a fourth year graduate student in the Astronomy department and the Center for Cosmology and AstroParticle Physics at The Ohio State University. I am currently working with Professors Kris Stanek and Chris Kochanek on the All-Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN).
I am primarily interested in leveraging "big data" survey projects like ASAS-SN to study supernovae and other transient events, and in 2014 I was awarded the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship for my work on ASAS-SN. I have also worked with researchers at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory to develop code for sampling realistic supernovae for a given set of host galaxy properties. My code is currently being used to plant supernovae in simulated LSST data, and is available online.
