Quiz 1 Results
- Each quiz normally consists of 50 multiple choice questions and a perfect
score is 50 out of 50. For quiz 1 I decided that one quiz was too vague and
consequently I removed it and scored the quiz out of 49 questions.
The raw score distribution for the class is as follows:
- Median: 32
- Mean: 30.8
- Standard Deviation: 6.6
- Here is the conversion between letter grade and raw score:
- A: 39-50
- B: 33-38
- C: 27-32
- D: 22-26
- E: 0-21
These grade ranges do not take into account +/- divisions, although these
will be used for the final grades. For example, if you consistently fall
near the low end of a letter distribution, you will probably receive a '-'
and not a solid letter grade (e.g. B- rather than B).
The distribution for the class is shown in the figure below.
