OSMOS Installation and Removal Instructions
Installation
- Point the telescope at the zenith
- Remove any filter wheel attached to the MIS
- Raise OSMOS to MIS with OSU sticker facing North
- Attach with 3/8-24 1-1/4" SHCS
- Disconnect Cart Plunger [see photo below]
- Lower OSMOS Cart
- Remove OSMOS Cradle (9 bolts, 5mm Allen Wrench)
- Install 4k and HE
- Add weights to telescope
Removal
- Remove weights from telescope
- Point the telescope at the zenith
- Remove the 4k and HE
- Attach the OSMOS Cradle (9 bolts, 5mm Allen Wrench) [see photo below]
- Retract the plunger on the cart
- Raise OSMOS Cart with high side toward ribs [see photo below]
- Check that OSMOS is seated in the Cart
- Insert the Cart Plunger
- Unbolt OSMOS from MIS
- Lower OSMOS
