Community Town Hall Meeting

The Ohio State University Department of Astronomy is pleased to host an open "Town Hall" meeting to provide community input to the Astro2010 Astronomy and Astrophysics Decadal Survey. The Town Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009, from 1:00-3:00pm in the Physics Research Building on the OSU Main Campus in Columbus Ohio.

The town meeting will be run by Astro2010 Survey Committee Executive Officer Lynne Hillenbrand and OSU Astronomy Professor Marc Pisonneault. The primary purposes to hear from members of the astronomical community about their concerns regarding the current state of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

The Astro2010 Town Meeting will be held in
Physics Research Building
Room 1080 (Alpheus Smith Seminar Room)
191 W. Woodruff Avenue
OSU Main Campus, Columbus OH
The meeting will run from 1-3pm EDT. Visitor parking is available in the Tuttle Park Place parking garage. Most of OSU is a pedestrian campus, and there is no parking next to the Physics Research Building, although drop off for mobility-impaired persons is available. Contact the OSU Astronomy Department (614 292 1773) to make arrangements.
